Breaking the Bane!

still has the wrapper on
O.K. I caved ... tech-ni-cally. However, getting specific with y'all a solid perfume is well a perfume BUT you have to admit its rare that you buck on a solid perfume in a regular retail store. Well it is ... if you go to the stores I do. I bought this intriguing item at no other than Primark (Primani to you pretentious folks). How could I resist?? ... I mean I love Lychee's ... I mean I actually really do love them (along with Mangos and Fudge, figures really). As a child my favourite treat was a bag of fresh Lychee's, its pure happiness for me. Oh but you're on a Perfume Ban?! ... Yeah I still am, BUT I never had any intentions of using a solid perfume as a deodorant and did you not hear my persuasive argument for breaking the bane  of my existence aka my perfume ban. *Oh my makeup ban is still in effect by the way ... I've been a good girl - trust me (tee-hee)*

So was it worth it?
Hell to the Y- E -S (somersaults figuratively).

I think this item is quirky, inexpensive and I like the subtle fragrance. It certainly doesn't smell like the Lychee fruit itself, its a perfume smell with a Lychee edge. Why am I not making sense? You really have to smell it for yourself. Its sweet, its light but not completely unnoticeable. I imagine this would be a great scent to apply when your meeting someone special, who will get close up to you ... you know what I'm saying - don't act like you don't. Oh and the packaging ... is superb - they really got me hook line and sinker with this one. Oh I can't wait to finish up all my perfumes just to rub this on ... and smell only of this.

Oh oh and they have a amber one ... I really shouldn't but I guess one way or another I'll purchase it before it vanishes from stores. My guess is that it will be a lot more earthy ... mmm. Like I said this scent will be great for times when you want to smell nice but, you might not want to overpower folks with the pungency of an eau de parfum, so lazy days out with friends ;) (winks) or nights in with your beau will be just make you smell subtly lovely.

Also  I'd recommend popping this in your bag to freshen you up after let's say gym, instead of those body sprays (reason one against body sprays: they're bad on the environment, number two: they really don't cover up B.O as well as some people like to think and number three: subtle scents are more fun). Hey I recommend this to all ladies ... I mean I know some folks like strong scents and believe me strong nice scents are a blessing on some public transport rides (you know why ... don't act like you don't) but sometimes subtly is where it is at. Ok I'm getting too lyrically metaphysical I'm not understanding this boat ... later peeps.

The only downside is that the container lid is flimsy (like the Cargo Blusher packaging ... I need to review that) and difficult to open once fully closed.
Other than that, s' wonderful.

Price: £2.00 for 10g/0.35oz
Expiration date: 12 months.

So what are your thoughts?
Did I break the ban or just the bane?
Do I ever make sense?
Do you ever make sense?
Have you tried a solid perfume, if so which one?
Do you have any favourite perfume scents, are you a floral fanatic, a sultry musky kinda gal/gallis or do you strictly reside on the fruitier sides of scents?

Your comments are always welcomed and appreciated
Stay sweet my lovelies ;o)
