Cara Delevingne Inspired Make-Up

Today's post will be a tutorial on this make-up look worn by model Cara Delevingne

She looks absolutely gorgeous in this photo and i really wanted to try and create my own version of this look.

This what i ended up coming up with:

If you would like to learn how to achieve this look, then please keep on reading :)

The first thing you will want to do is moisturize your face and lips so your skin is all ready to go. For this i used Swisse 'Sensitive Vitamin E Face Moisturiser' and Maybelline's Baby Lips in 'Smoothing Cherry'. I'm a big fan of both of these products.
As always priming the face before foundation is essential for a flawless application. Using my Mac Prep+Prime 'Skin Base Visage' i applied one pump all over my face with my fingers.
For foundation i picked Benefits 'Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow' as Cara has beautifully glowing skin in the picture and this is a brightening formula. I buffed 3 pumps all over my face and neck with my Eco Tools 'Custom Coverage Buffing Brush'.
Mixing Mac 'Pro Longwear Concealer' in NW20 and NW25 to cover and any blemishes on my face, i then wanted a under eye highlight so i used NW20 on it's own in a half moon shape under my eyes.
Tapping with my fingers to blend everything out.
I felt i needed more highlighting to replicate the photo so i went in with my Maybelline 'Age Rewind' concealer in the brightening/illuminating shade and then with my fingers applied it to my chin, cupids bow, sides of my mouth, sides of my nose, bridge of my nose, in between my brows and my forehead. Remember to using a tapping motion when blending so you don't disturb the foundation underneath.

I then set my entire face and neck as usual using Face of Australia's 'Translucent loose powder' with my Limelilly large powder brush.
To contour i used Nars 'Laguna' bronzer and contour brush to chisel out my cheek bones and down the sides of my nose.
Then picking up some more bronzer on my Limelilly angled contour brush, i buffed out the contour and warmed up the rest of my face, chin and under my jaw.
That concludes the base :).

Now for the eyes:
For the base i used this Maybelline Color Tattoo in 'Tough as Taupe'. This is my go to eyeshadow base for darker looks. I just applied this to my mobile lid using my index finger.

Then i went in with this dome brush by Limelilly to blend out the edges, i also used the left over product on the brush to drag under the lower lash line.

Then with this taupe colour from Modelsprefer i simply sweapt it over my mobile lid and crease with my Real Techniques 'Base Shadow Brush' for a base colour.

Then using this chocolate brown colour by Essence i layered it on top of the taupe colour with the same brush, i also brought it under the lash line, bleding it with my Master Make-Up 'Eyeliner brush'.
Then to further smoke the lower lash line i blended this dark grey colour from the NYX 'Smokey' palette with the same brush.

This is the eye look so far.

Using this warm toned brown with my Elf 'Bleding eye brush' i blended it just above the crease and under the lash line as a transition colour.
Using my Master Makeup 'Bledning brush' i continuously blended the edges of the eye look.

I then added this dark brown through my crease and blended it out again. I then took it through the crease but also over the mobile lid and blended again! Layering is key. Also add this under the lash line.

This is were your shadow should be at now.

Now apply your favorite black pencil liner to your top lash line, tight line and waterline. Smudge everything out with a dense brush and then apply mascara.

Now for brows, Cara's brows are so well known so for the look it is important to try and imitate it to the best you can. I started out brushing through my hairs with a spooly. Then using my Face of Australia brow kit, i lightly filled in any gaps and tried cover my arch as her brows are quite straight. I then used my Gimmi Brow by Benefit to set all in place.

I then went in and bronzed a little more as i felt the eye look took over a bit, then i used a peachy blush as seen in the picture. Using Nars 'Gilda' blush i swept it from apples to cheek bone and blended it out with the smallest amount of bronzer.

For lips i mixed 'Babette' and 'Coquette' from Limecrime.

Annnnnnd we're done!
